We are very excited about our Guildford DEF autumn gathering on Thursday 20th November, 7.30pm at Christ Church Guildford. John McGinley will be joining us. John co-leads The Send UK & Ireland. He has been ordained in the Church of England for 28 years, and currently works at The Gregory Centre for Church multiplication, leading the Myriad Programme, which supports everyday people to start new church communities. After his presentation there will be a time to ask questions. 

 

We will begin the evening with mince pies and mulled wine, followed by worship and prayer.  We'd love you to prioritise this evening and please do invite others you know in your Parish or Deanery or within the wider Diocese who would be interested to attend.

GDEF are delighted to invite you to an evening with Dr Rachel Jordan-Wolf, Executive Director at Hope Together. From an early age Rachel has been passionate that others would discover Jesus for themselves and this passion continues in all that she does in leading Hope Together and in local church life. 

 

What we can find out about those outside the church is so important to shape our strategy in evangelism. Rachel will share the 'Talking Jesus' research and other key pieces of research that are shaping the evangelistic culture in the UK.

GDEF invite you to an evening with Sarah Jackson, CEO at re-vitalise Trust, and Chair of The Alliance.​

The evening will begin with drinks and nibbles and time to re-connect with others from across the diocese.

​

We'll join together in worship at 8pm, and Sarah will share an update on the work of The Alliance ahead of the July General Synod. Most importantly there will be a time of prayer - for the renewal of biblical faith throughout the Church of England, and revival in our nation.
